Mobility-As-A-Service (“MaaS”) is the concept that users of travel services move away from personally owned means of transportation and instead consume it as an on-demand & pay-per-use service. This modal shift means a user can choose their preferred trip based on cost, time, environmental factors, convenience or a combination of these.

MaaS Scotland [https://maas-scotland.com] has been created as a partnership between Technology Scotland and ScotlandIS, the trade association for Scotland’s digital technologies industry. MaaS Scotland’s aim is to develop national and international links, securing Scotland’s future as one of the leading locations for the development of MaaS.

Ideal Interface has therefore become a member of this organisation, not only because we have clients across the UK transport and travel industries, but also because we are interested in the creation & optimisation of open standards and API-based integration… With the aim that this will create enable greater interoperability and a better user experience across the entire industry.
