Ideal Interface converts Open Transport work to Open Standard

Throughout 2019 Ideal Interface worked with a large number of different organisations and individuals in the transport and mobility sector to develop two API specifications for transport account interoperability (a customer-account API for the consistent integration of purchase, usage and concession data, plus an operator-information API to be the design for a centralised look-up service for all transport providers & MaaS platforms).
The resulted in the release of a draft (v0.9) for peer review in October 2019. Then the subsequent ratification of this standard by industry stakeholders and specialist, leading to its release as version 1.0 on 3rd January 2020.

The full specifications are available here:
https://app.swaggerhub.com/search?owner=open-transport

From this date these specifications have become Open Standards and therefore they are free to adopt and adapt. Meaning any intellectual property Ideal Interface (or any other contributing organisation) has built up during the design process is now surrendered and we no longer manage any further changes. Instead all oversight and further iterations of the Open Transport standards are managed by a Standards Board run by Open Transport Technology Ltd.

Full details are available here:
An Open Standard for Transport Accounts

We wish this initiative the best of luck and hope it gets swift and uniform adoption across the transport industry as planned.

Ideal Interface Joins MaaS Scotland

Mobility-As-A-Service (“MaaS”) is the concept that users of travel services move away from personally owned means of transportation and instead consume it as an on-demand & pay-per-use service. This modal shift means a user can choose their preferred trip based on cost, time, environmental factors, convenience or a combination of these.

MaaS-in-Scotland-Icon-400x392MaaS Scotland [https://maas-scotland.com] has been created as a partnership between Technology Scotland and ScotlandIS, the trade association for Scotland’s digital technologies industry. MaaS Scotland’s aim is to develop national and international links, securing Scotland’s future as one of the leading locations for the development of MaaS.

Ideal Interface has therefore become a member of this organisation, not only because we have clients across the UK transport and travel industries, but also because we are interested in the creation & optimisation of open standards and API-based integration… With the aim that this will create enable greater interoperability and a better user experience across the entire industry.

Ideal Interface delivers Black Friday SEO & PPC for Knack Bags

With less than a week between an initial introduction and the busiest online sales weekend ever, Ideal Interface has helped Knack Bags (https://knackbags.com), a new brand of expandable laptop backpacks, reach new customers via search engine marketing.

‘As a newly-launched e-commerce business, we found ourselves in a jam
the week before Black Friday. Our web development agency recommended
Ideal Interface to us on the Saturday before Black Friday and Ideal
was working on our business that Sunday. The Ideal Interface team
listened to our needs, reviewed how our PPC program was set up and
completely restructured our PPC campaigns to directly focus on our
target keywords. They worked with us continuously, from developing
keyword strategy, identifying productive keywords, competitor
benchmarking, structuring our ad buy and setting up the analysis
needed to optimize our organic search position in time for Black
Friday. Ideal helped us make the most of our PPC budget in the
extremely tight time frame we had.
We are excited to continue to work with Hayden and his team to improve
our online acquisition and targeted digital marketing.’
